Strategy’s Indie List 2022 names m5 “a regional powerhouse”

St. John’s, NL (February 1, 2022) – m5 Marketing Communications is proud to be featured in Strategy’s Indie List 2022. Highlighted alongside other Canadian industry leaders, m5 is touted for its recent business growth, creative team development, client roster, and bold, new ownership. Strategy is a Canadian business magazine focused on marketing, advertising and media, and their self-proclaimed “quest for the best ideas in Canadian advertising” takes the form of annual short-lists and competitions, one of which is the Indie List.

Each year, Strategy’s Indie List focuses on Canada’s top independent agencies. As they put it, “from small 12-member outfits to 100-plus soon-to-be-global powerhouses, [the Indie List features] some of the country’s nimblest, go-getting and fully independent agencies.” Strategy’s Indie List is intended for “marketers looking to add a little entrepreneurial spirit to their business.”

In its annual roundup, Strategy highlights m5’s recent big wins, such as U.S.-based True Temper Hockey, and celebrates the company’s diverse client roster, including GM, Fortis, Tourism Nova Scotia, NB Power, Newfoundland Power and Dalhousie University. The feature also highlights the recent hiring of Executive Creative Director, Damian Bonse – with more than 24 years of award-winning experience at TBWA, BBDO, and FCB – who was recruited to help evolve m5’s creative work, and to “mastermind bold creative built for today’s consumers,” said Strategy.
